The club also competes in full-bore shooting during the summer term using 7.62 target rifles to shoot over 300, 500, 600, 900 and 1000m. Don't worry if you don't have your own! We have club rifles which are available for members as well as all the necessary kit. For those who want it or need it their is the option of (free!) one on one coaching during the outdoor training sessions.

During the summer term the training takes place on the Castle Law range (just outside Edinburgh in the hills behind Hillend) or in Blair Atholl (roughly 2hrs north of Edinburgh). Days and times will be organised soon so watch this space.

The culmination of the shooting calender is the imperial which usually happens in july (for 09: Sat 11 Jul to Sat 25 Jul) for more detailed info on this event check our www.nra.org.uk or ask one of the fullbore guys at the range. In essence it's ten days of shooting competitions that you will not forget.

If you want to get involved we will be at the sports fair during freshers week or come to one of the smallbore sessions and ask!
