Edinburgh University Rifle Club is one of the most successful clubs in the Sports Union.

The club competes and trains in two main disciplines: smallbore rifle shooting (indoor at 25m, and outdoor at 50m and 100m), and fullbore rifle shooting.

It is open to all (as long as you are a student at Edinburgh University), irrespective of age, gender or ability and has a proven track record of improving an individual's concentration and motivation. Plus, it is great fun!!

All new members get individual coaching until they are proficient enough to shoot alone - we encourage everyone to have a go, even if you have never shot before. Freshers are provided with free ammunition to complete the first stages of training.

Getting to know other people in the club is easy; socials are organised throughout the year, as well as frequent post-training trips to the pub!

If you have shot before or just want to give it a go, come down to the range (at the CSE at the Pleasance) on a Tuesday from 6:30pm or a Wednesday from 2pm (during term time). We can answer all your questions, and get you started.
